Tools for Researchers and Practitioners
New Initiatives
- Robert McQuillan, M.D. has received funding
from the Creighton University Health Future’s Foundation Faculty Development
Grant for his project entitled: “Changing Safety Culture in the
Perioperative Area". This is a two-year project. R. Armour Forse, M.D. and
James D. Bramble, Ph.D. are co-Principal Investigators and Rasheed Amao,
M.D. and Kimberly Galt, Pharm.D. are co-investigators for this project.
- Rene' Padilla, Ph.D./OTR/L, FAOTA has received
funding from the United Nations High Commission on Refugees / Amnesty
International for his project entitled: “Modelos de Atencion a Migrantes
Victimas de Tortura y Privadas de Libertad (Service Models for Migrants Who
Have Been Victims of Torture and False Imprisonment)". This is a 3-phase,
3-year grant demonstration project.
- Kimberly Galt, Pharm.D., Ann Ryan-Haddad,
Pharm.D., and Mark Siracuse, Pharm.D., Ph.D. are working collaboratively
with the
State of Nebraska and UNMC to develop a practice model on the conduct of
medication reviews for therapeutic drug management. This work is in support
of the state quality improvement initiative and is expected to occur over a
3-year period.

state-of-the-art data workstations are now available. These data
workstations are available to all SPAHP faculty, staff, and students. If
interested in utilizing this area, please contact the
CHRP office.

Faculty Scholarship Development Program
Scholarship development to achieve successful funding will be achieved
through this program. The Program provides support for all phases of the
grant cycle.
Mini-Intensive Research Development Experience
Faculty may apply to participate in research intensive experience with
the core CHRP faculty.
Student Development Program
Students who have an interest in learning the research process will be
encouraged to pursue elective research rotations and independent study
with faculty who participate in this initiative. Students at the masters
and clinical doctorate level of study in most programs are required to
complete a scholarly project. This Program provides additional support
toward these curricular goals. Students also may gain employment as
research assistants through this effort.
