New Initiatives

• Robert McQuillan, M.D. has received funding from the Creighton University Health Future’s Foundation Faculty Development Grant for his project entitled: “Changing Safety Culture in the Perioperative Area". This is a two-year project. R. Armour Forse, M.D. and James D. Bramble, Ph.D. are co-Principal Investigators and Rasheed Amao, M.D. and Kimberly Galt, Pharm.D. are co-investigators for this project.
• Rene' Padilla, Ph.D./OTR/L, FAOTA has received funding from the United Nations High Commission on Refugees / Amnesty International for his project entitled: “Modelos de Atencion a Migrantes Victimas de Tortura y Privadas de Libertad (Service Models for Migrants Who Have Been Victims of Torture and False Imprisonment)". This is a 3-phase, 3-year grant demonstration project.
• Kimberly Galt, Pharm.D., Ann Ryan-Haddad, Pharm.D., and Mark Siracuse, Pharm.D., Ph.D. are working collaboratively with the State of Nebraska and UNMC to develop a practice model on the conduct of medication reviews for therapeutic drug management. This work is in support of the state quality improvement initiative and is expected to occur over a 3-year period.
