Tools for Researchers and Practitioners
New Initiatives
- Robert McQuillan, M.D. has received funding
from the Creighton University Health Future’s Foundation Faculty Development
Grant for his project entitled: “Changing Safety Culture in the
Perioperative Area". This is a two-year project. R. Armour Forse, M.D. and
James D. Bramble, Ph.D. are co-Principal Investigators and Rasheed Amao,
M.D. and Kimberly Galt, Pharm.D. are co-investigators for this project.
- Rene' Padilla, Ph.D./OTR/L, FAOTA has received
funding from the United Nations High Commission on Refugees / Amnesty
International for his project entitled: “Modelos de Atencion a Migrantes
Victimas de Tortura y Privadas de Libertad (Service Models for Migrants Who
Have Been Victims of Torture and False Imprisonment)". This is a 3-phase,
3-year grant demonstration project.
- Kimberly Galt, Pharm.D., Ann Ryan-Haddad,
Pharm.D., and Mark Siracuse, Pharm.D., Ph.D. are working collaboratively
with the
State of Nebraska and UNMC to develop a practice model on the conduct of
medication reviews for therapeutic drug management. This work is in support
of the state quality improvement initiative and is expected to occur over a
3-year period.

workstations are available to all SPAHP faculty, staff, and students. If
interested in utilizing this area, please contact the
CHRP office.

The Creighton University School of Pharmacy and Health Professions
created the Creighton University Health Services Research Program (CHRP)
in 2004 to coordinate and support research and training efforts among
faculty within an interdisciplinary and collaborative research
environment. Program faculty and staff serve the research interests of
governmental agencies, health care facilities, employers, health care
industry companies, and educators.
Identity Statement
Creighton University Health Services Research Program (CHRP) is a
multi-professional team of scholars engaged in interdisciplinary health
services research.Vision Statement
The interdisciplinary health services research expertise of CHRP
will serve community, academic, and government partners by conducting
research to improve health services and the care of patients.
Mission Statement
The Creighton University Health Services Research Program conducts
health services research to improve the quality, safety and efficiency
of patient care through the discovery, translation, and dissemination of
new knowledge.
Goals
1. Provide structure and leadership for the development of the
Creighton health services research community.
2. Facilitate new and innovative health services research
initiatives.
3. Provide advanced professional development opportunities for
faculty engaged in health service research initiatives.
4. Foster interprofessional and multidisciplinary approaches to
productive research.
5. Provide students with structured research experiences.
6. Serve community partners and professionals who serve patients
by sharing new knowledge.
